Who is eligible for cover?

  • Q. Can non-UK residents purchase your travel insurance?
  • A. At this time we cannot offer travel insurance to non-UK residents. A UK resident is defined as those who have their permanent home in the UK and have not spent more than 6 months abroad during the year before a travel policy is issued.


  • Q. What is the maximum age limit on your policies?
  • A. We provide economical single trip and annual multi-trip travel insurance policies through Europ Assistance for those up to 64 years of age - simply follow the 'Online Quotation' button on the home page.


  • Q. How do you define a 'couple'?
  • A. The requirement for being defined as a couple and so be able to take advantage of the lower joint travel insurance premiums is that you have to have been cohabiting for at least 6 months. You do not have to be married (or indeed of differing sexes).


  • Q. Can people with an annual multi trip travel insurance policy travel independently?
  • A. Yes you can travel independently, though children will only be insured if they travel with and are accompanied by one of the insured adults.


  • Q. Is cover provided for minors travelling alone?
  • A. If a minor is travelling alone you must purchase an adult policy.


  • Q. Do I have cover for cancellation or curtailment when caused by a Pre-existing Medical Condition affecting a close relative, travelling companion who is not insured under this policy or a person with whom I intend to stay whilst on my trip?
  • A. This policy will NOT cover any claims under Section 1 (Cancellation & Curtailment) arising directly or indirectly from any Pre-existing Medical Condition, (known to You prior to the commencement of the Period of Insurance) affecting any:

    • Close Relative who is not travelling as an Insured Person under this policy; or
    • travelling companion who is not insured under this policy; or
    • person with whom You intend to stay whilst on Your Trip,
    • If during the 90 days immediately prior to the commencement of the Period of Insurance they had:

    • a. required surgery, inpatient treatment or hospital consultations; or
    • b. required any form of treatment or prescribed medication; or
    • c. if they were on a waiting-list for, or had knowledge of the need for, surgery, inpatient treatment or investigation at any hospital or clinic at the commencement of the Period of Insurance; or
    • d. if a terminal diagnosis had been received prior to the commencement of the Period of Insurance.
